EUPATI Cluster Spotlight: Fellows

Strengthening the Patient Voice in EUPATI: The Role of the Fellows Cluster

The EUPATI Fellows community represents a unique and highly skilled network of patient experts across Europe. With the introduction of the Fellows Cluster within EUPATI’s governance structure, a more direct and structured connection has been established between Fellows and the EUPATI Board of Trustees.

As Chair and Co-Chair of the Fellows Cluster, Marc van Grieken and Lisbeth Snede work to ensure that the collective knowledge, experience, and perspectives of Fellows are actively brought into EUPATI’s strategic development and decision-making processes.

The Fellow Cluster is not only a representative body — it is a platform for collaboration, dialogue, and shared learning across countries, therapeutic areas, and professional backgrounds. It aims to strengthen the visibility and impact of Fellows, while ensuring that patient expertise is consistently integrated in a meaningful and structured way.

A key focus of this Cluster is to move beyond symbolic involvement and support a more consistent and applied approach to patient involvement across EUPATI activities. This includes fostering stronger connections between Fellows, enabling knowledge exchange, and identifying opportunities where Fellows can contribute their expertise in real-world initiatives.

The EUPATI Fellows Cluster also plays an important role in supporting the evolving EUPATI community, ensuring alignment between governance, community activities, and the broader mission of advancing patient involvement in medicines research and development.

Fellows who are interested in contributing to ongoing discussions, sharing their experiences, or becoming more actively involved in shaping the future direction of the community are encouraged to connect with the Fellows Cluster.
