Over the past two sessions, more than 130 EUPATI trainees and committee members from Cohort 9 of the EUPATI Patient Expert Training Programme (PETP) were invited to join our kick-off webinar. Participants from 48 countries, representing 15 disease areas, dialed in from across the globe.
For the first time, we are delighted to welcome trainees from China, Nigeria, Ethiopia, and Zambia, reflecting the programme’s growing global reach. To accommodate different time zones and ensure broad participation, the webinar was delivered across two separate sessions.
What was on the agenda?
- Introduction of trainees and committee members
- An overview of where we are in the programme and the next steps
- Explanation of the PETP guidelines
- Introduction to ENPs (EUPATI National Platforms)
- A “Let’s get to know each other better” networking session
- Q&A in small groups
We are incredibly excited about Cohort 9, whose members have already demonstrated great enthusiasm and engagement. This cohort will also benefit from ongoing improvements in how we deliver and present our training. Our team is busy behind the scenes working on ensuring content is relevant, up-to-date, visually appealing and engaging which will enhance the overall experience for the trainees. These improvements will be introduced at the online event this Spring.
We look forward to hearing their feedback and supporting them throughout this journey as they begin this exciting learning experience in medicines R&D and patient involvement.
