EUPATI Reload

The EUPATI Patient Expert Training Programme, launched in 2016, mixes online and in-person training to give patients and patient representatives advanced knowledge of the research and development pathway for medicines. The goal is to increase the level of knowledge in the patient community, not just in Europe but around the world.

The EIT Health funded EUPATI RELOAD project (2020-2021) aimed to adapt the EUPATI Patient Expert Training Programme to cater for each learner’s needs, making the course more accessible and sustainable. A key step was to repackage the six modules of the training into up to 30 shorter training units, and offer a more flexible on-demand learning pathway, accessible to anyone from anywhere in the world. Another improvement was to add new learning modules on Medical Devices and Digital Health.

Objectives

  • Repackage the existing modules on medicines research and development into shorter modules.
  • Identify and implement an e-learning management system to host the future modules.
  • Develop new training content on Medical Devices and Digital Health

Start date and duration
